Smashed Potatoes

  • 3 lbs Red potatoes
  • 1/3 cup Sour cream
  • 1/3 cup Heavy cream
  • 2/3 stick Butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper


  1. Scrub potatoes and cut in quarters.
  2. Put potatoes in large pot of water with salt and bring to a boil until fork tender.
  3. Drain potatoes and return to pot.
  4. Add butter, sour cream and heavy cream and mash.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve warm.
